Kings Fitness was born out of the desire to provide a place for people to train who are tired of having to train in a poor atmosphere of typical commercial gyms. We built Kings Fitness to provide a positive and supportive friendly atmosphere for you to call home; as well as a community of like-minded individuals who support your goals.

Our Mission

Our mission at Kings Fitness is to provide you with a unique environment in which anyone can be comfortable. We are a diverse facility where a lasting, active lifestyle can be built in order to help you reach your goals. We seek to offer a safe, healthy environment, where everyone feels accepted and respected.

We have a diverse range of equipment, classes and functional training meaning that there is definitely something here for you. All our classes – group fitness, small group training and personal training can be modified to suit your needs.

Our goal is to provide an environment that brings all people from different backgrounds together to train and reach their own individual goals, and to educate and coach individuals into living a healthy and active lifestyle to achieve permanent sustainable results.

About Leo King

I was born and raised in Southampton, England before moving to Calgary, Canada when I was 19. After 4 years of post-secondary education, I graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. I am a lifetime drug-free, natural bodybuilder & powerlifter.

Growing up I was always a very small, yet athletic kid, who played every competitive sport possible; however, I needed to gain a little muscle and size to compete at the next level. It wasn’t until college when I found my home in the gym, slowly growing and getting stronger. With time I began to play around with how the body responded to different routines and techniques. The combination of strength training and nutrition fuelled my passion for learning more about the human anatomy and physiology. I have spent a great deal of time researching, learning and sorting out the truth from pseudo-science, and attribute this to much of my success

My first bodybuilding show was in the summer of 2011 at the age of 21. Since then I have competed in many competitions and am now a competitive WNBF Professional Natural Bodybuilder, and have competed at the WNBF World Championships in 2012 at 23 years old. Since then I have grown to enjoy raw powerlifting, where I like to achieve goals of strength in my off-season.

I started Kings Fitness in the beginning of 2013 where I was able to help others achieve their own personal goals of getting healthier, stronger and working towards physique competitions. In 2015 I was blessed with the opportunity to take my passion for health, fitness & community even further and opened Kings Fitness Gym; where I wanted to create a community of like-minded individuals, who could to come together and train, working towards goals of getting stronger, more athletic and healthier. I have always wanted to share my knowledge and experience with others, hoping to make a difference in everyone’s lives.
